ABOUT US
The Lakehead Light Horse Association Inc. was first established in 1955 when area horse enthusiasts realized the need for an association to promote horses and the life that revolves around the horse.

The L.L.H.A. has and will always strive to help non-horse people understand our passion and aid in the spread of love of horses.  By the promotion of clinics, good sportsmanship, good horsemanship and by giving beginners a helping hand with their animals, we hope to encourage the safe and pleasurable pastime of horses.  We are a very family oriented club.

The L.L.H.A. generally holds gymkhanas monthly from May to October at the Murillo Fair Grounds.  Our other events include organized trail rides, poker runs, open horse shows, socials, a year end banquet, and monthly meetings on the 4th Tuesday of every month at The Stanley Hotel, beginning at 7:30 PM.  You do not need to be a member to attend any LLHA event, but being a member has many benefits.

Our club has also been involved in helping other organizations in the area host events, and welcome other clubs to participate and add classes to our events.  We are for total involvement in the horse community!
